Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before downloading or using the Hidelyt mobile application ("App") operated by Hidelyt ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Hidelyt, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or 16 in certain jurisdictions), that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and that you agree to abide by them in full.

2. Description of Service

Hidelyt is a private media vault application that allows users to store photos, videos, and notes in an encrypted, PIN-protected environment on their device. The App includes features such as:

• Encrypted photo and video vault with album organization
• Private encrypted notes
• Private browser with no external history leakage
• Calculator disguise mode
• Decoy PIN and empty vault
• Break-in alert with intruder selfie capture
• Customizable app icons (24+ options)
• Encrypted backup and restore

Features are divided between a free tier and a paid Premium tier. See Section 5 for subscription details.

3. User Accounts & PIN Security

• Hidelyt does not require an account. Your identity is not linked to any server account.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your PIN.
• We cannot recover your PIN or vault contents if you forget your PIN or uninstall the app without backing up your data first.
• You agree to use a PIN that is not easily guessable and to not share your PIN with unauthorized parties.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use Hidelyt only for lawful purposes. You must not use the App to:

• Store, share, or distribute illegal content of any kind, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), non-consensual intimate images, or content that violates applicable laws
• Infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of any third party
• Engage in any activity that is fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App
• Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the App or its associated systems
• Store content that violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation

5. Subscription & Payments

5.1 Free Tier

The free tier allows storage of up to 5 photos/videos and 5 private notes with basic PIN protection. No payment is required.

5.2 Premium Subscriptions

Premium features are available through auto-renewing subscriptions:

5.3 Billing & Renewal

• Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play at the prices stated above.
• Your subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR). Tax may apply based on your location.

5.4 Cancellation & Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time via your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain premium access until then.
• Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google per their respective refund policies. We do not issue refunds directly.
• No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, features, and branding, is owned by Hidelyt and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You retain full ownership of all media, notes, and content you store within the App.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
• Any bugs or errors will be corrected
• The App will be compatible with all devices or operating system versions

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hidelyt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of privacy, or loss of vault contents due to:

• Forgotten PIN and inability to recover vault data
• Device failure, data corruption, or accidental deletion
• App updates that cause incompatibilities
• Unauthorized access by third parties if your PIN is compromised
• Any use or misuse of the App

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully.

10. Updates & Modifications

• We may update the App and its features from time to time. Updates may change, add, or remove features.
• We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via the App or this website.
• Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or applicable law. Upon termination, your license to use the App ceases immediately. All locally stored vault data remains on your device; uninstalling the App removes it.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
